Positioning: Consistent, low-residual metallics for EAF/induction routes, tuned for yield, energy, and slag control. HBI recommended for safer ocean transport and lower reactivity.

Typical specs (indicative ranges)

  • Metallization: ≥ 92–94 %
  • Total Fe: 88–92 %
  • FeO: ≤ 2.0–3.0 %
  • C: 1.0–2.5 % (process-dependent)
  • Gangue (SiO₂ + Al₂O₃): ≤ 6.0 %
  • Size: 6–25 mm (DRI); HBI briquettes per ISO sizing

Operational notes

  • Reactivity/oxidation: inerting, quick discharge, controlled ventilation
  • Delivery: Bulk (DRI coastal/short-sea), HBI for deep-sea; moisture management SOPs

RFQ checklist: DRI vs HBI, target metallization/Fe/FeO, size band, fines %, moisture limits, handling/port restrictions, sampling plan, Incoterms.
